Suzanne Lacy, Julia London, Ngoh Spencer, Carol Leigh, ____________ (San Francisco, 1982)

After six months of research with skilled organizer Julia London to find representatives of San Francisco’s diverse female population, one hundred and twenty women were engaged to participate in a performance. In a trendy furniture showroom 120 women sat, divided into tableau vivants, as if in their living rooms, and discussed what survival meant to them. This site-specific performance was presented for the International Sculpture Conference.
