After No Blood/No Foul, Oakland City Council passed the Oakland Youth Policy Initiative and funded $180,000 for a youth-to-youth granting program and a Mayor’s Youth Commission. A documentary videotape was created by Michelle Baughan and premiered in the Oakland Museum to a large crowd of parents, youth, politicians, and activists. After the screening, a bleacher on stage was filled with a cross section of the community, and No Blood’s color commentator, Frank Williams led a discussion.

In Tokyo, Japan, TEAM installed graffiti murals, a basketball court and police/youth video interviews translated into Japanese for ATOPIC, an exhibition of conceptual and installation artists from around the world. The installation stimulated discussion by youth there about relationships with authority.
